we do not accept works sexually explicit in nature or that glorify abuse, violence, etc.
this magazine is for and by youth - we're looking for submissions from teens/adults ages 13-25
you may submit through the google form or by emailing pomegranatelit@gmail.com with your piece(s) and a short, third-person bio.
all submissions must be your own work. we allow simultaneous submissions, but ask that you inform us if your piece is published in another magazine.
we accept poetry, creative non-fiction, short fiction, and visual pieces
you may submit writing in any font/format; the font and font size of your piece may be changed for formatting purposes, but we will try to preserve the original format
our response time is up to 3 weeks. if you haven’t heard back in that time, please shoot us another email! your submission might have gotten lost in the void.
Poetry Guidelines
submit up to 5 poems at a time! while we don’t have a line limit, remember that these poems will be placed in an issue if accepted when formatting your poem.
works submitted as prose or poetry may be moved to the other category at the editors’ discretion.
Prose Guidelines
you may submit up to 2 works at a time
the word limit is 3,000 words, though we are willing to be flexible with this
up to three works of flash fiction (800 words or less) may be submitted at a time
Visual Art Guidelines
please attach up to 3 works of visual art at a time as high-quality pngs or jpegs to your submission email. low-quality images may disqualify your work from being added to the issue.
any type of visual art is welcome - photography, 2D art, etc. feel free to contact pomegranatemag@gmail.com with any questions about your work.
